Getting Outside and Being Active

You need to get outside more often! First of all, it’s giid for your health. If you want to become sick then stay inside. If you don’t want to get sick, then go outside. Lots of people think that it’s too cold to go outside, but when it’s -20 degrees, I go outside. By going outside, you can get used to the cold temperatures. You need the fresh air or else you might get sick.

Here are some ideas for getting outside:

  • Build a snowman
  • Bundle up and run
  • Build an igloo
  • Have a snowball fight (but not at school!)
  • Bury yourself
  • Go sledding/tobogganing
  • Shovel
  • Skating

Picking, Boy, Carefully, Child, HandThose are some things you can do outside in the winter. When it’s getting warmer people think it’s too hot to get outside. Here are some great ideas for getting active in the summer:

  • Go swimming
  • Water fight
  • Pick berries
  • Garden
  • Run through the sprinkler
  • Play kick the can
  • Join a sports team

Internet Safety

It is Important to be Safe on the internet. Here are some tips:

Don’t go on something that you think that you probably shouldn’t be on.

Don’t go on adult websites.

If someone starts talking to you and you don’t feel comfortable, tell someone and exit the website.

Make sure to tell an adult if someone threatens you or asks you something that you don’t feel comfortable about.

Be aware of who you talk to, the person might seem nice, But you don’t know who they are behind the computer screen.

Be careful who you accept friend requests from, if you haven’t met that person face to face you don’t know who they are.

If someone ever says something rude to you, Or Non kid friendly tell an adult.

Don’t tell ANYONE about your personal information (Or were you live) It could end out badly.

If there is a fire drill, do not panic! It’s probably just a practice.  If there is a lockdown, find a spot to sit out of view and stay quiet.   If there is a lockdown and you are outside, listen to the supervising teacher, so that you know where to go!  Stay quiet, listen for instructions, and remain calm.
