Teacher Counsellor

Phone: 403-892-2787

Welcome,

Being a teacher with a specialization in counselling, my worldview, definition of counselling, and theory of counselling are rooted in the belief that all people are inherently good. The elements of counselling that resonate with me most; authenticity, sincerity, compassion, collaboration, and empowerment, are qualities that I value not only in my theory of counselling, but also in my life. I appreciate and utilize my natural talents and gifts of creativity, resourcefulness, artistry, leadership, and my ability to build rapport with people from all walks of life. I feel most fulfilled with my work when I am able to connect with young people and their efforts to move toward self-betterment. I hope through my interactions I instill empowerment and the belief that all people are able grow, change, and make a difference.

I am the Teacher-Counsellor at both Gailbrath and Westminster Elementary Schools. Students and families seeking emotional support, guidance, connection to community resources, information about social or emotional wellness, and brief solution focused counselling, can connect with me in person, by phone, or through email.
